In memory of those in Utah who have succumbed due to the battle with addiction
When their second daughter died of a drug overdose, the emotional effect was devastating, incomprehensible and overpowering. "No, I cannot do this again" was the immediate response from Leslie Henderson, mother to Nicole and Amberly Henderson when her husband Lane arrived at their business, followed by a police officer. Leslie responded with an inability to even plan another funeral – it was just too much.
Sleep would not come for her or Lane. An experience of numbness would have been a blessing compared to the emotional impact now being experienced. 2 beautiful daughters both gone within a 2 year period due to the power of addiction. The feeling of helplessness, powerlessness, inadequacy continued.
In the midst of this emptiness, the voices of their 2 daughters entered Leslie's awareness, bringing to Leslie the message about the UNSEEN ARMY, an army of so many beautiful "children" who have left mortality due to the ravages of addiction and who have joined together to help us in mortality to fight this disease of addiction.
Having experienced these incredible moments with her daughters, Leslie knew that they must have a funeral for Amberly and that she must speak to the audience about the addiction so prevalent, even in the lives of who would be sitting in the audience. Leslie pled with the parents, loved ones and the addicts present at the funeral, reminding the audience that our children "are dropping like flies", and that we must do something, along with the UNSEEN ARMY working with us to make a difference.
MATR is also sponsoring an Aftercare group concept entitled: "Family's (families) Our Aftercare". Whenever we face trials in life, the support of our family, our loved ones makes all the difference. Included in Family's Our Aftercare is not only meetings, service and activities, we are working on an education plan – a school, as our favorite attorney calls us – in which the concepts and teachings we share at MATR's facility and the Seminars presented by LandJ Media will be taught in a positive and uplifting atmosphere.
In honor of these beautiful people who are losing their lives on the battlefront of addiction – those who die due to DUI's or other Addictive behaviors and those who die because they have lost their personal battle against the disease – MATR Behavioral Health is dedicating a portion of the property it's Residential Substance Abuse facility is located on – on historic Highway 89 as it passes through Mount Pleasant, Utah, to a monument for those who have lost their lives due to the ravages of addiction. There will be no cost to have a name and death date engraved upon the monument. The requirements are as follows:
- The adding of the name to the monument must be requested by a person close to the individual who lost their life.
- A written memory highlighting the positive aspects of the life of the person who has died (1-4 pages in length) This must be submitted to Linda Dimmick and Janey Marvin of MATR who will retain rights to this written memorial for the purpose of publishing a book of these written accounts which will be available for sale. – P.O. Paradigm Future Life – We create our future with the thoughts and experiences we focus on in our present. Our conscious mind has the power to
Over rule our subconscious mind. This guided imagery causes your conscious to work with our subconscious to create your future experiences as YOU CHOOSE to have them. No matter the content of your future, you create it yourself through your beliefs, feelings, behaviors, attitudes and the things you focus on. Help yourself take conscious control over your life by using this technique.
There is a Native American saying: "We create our future in our present from the fabric of our past." This technique guides you through the steps that assist you consciously to work with your subconscious, using the same process processes your subconscious already uses to create your future. Remember, as with anything in life, to evaluate and judge for yourself what you choose and your true life reasons for your choosing,. As with our other self help techniques, have this technique become a regular, repeated part of your life.
Paradigm Grief Movie Process – This guided imagery assists in dealing with our losses, not only regarding the loss caused by death but other losses we experience in life such as the loss of confidence, happiness, relationships, employment, or health. Grief, itself, is not due to our past experiences or memories of the things or people we have lost. Rather, the experience of grief comes from the "future memories" we have created, the thoughts and expectations we created as we thought into our future – trips we thought we would take, a child's graduation, grandchildren, family gatherings – all things we imagined while not realizing that our subconscious does not know the difference between real and imagined so placed those thoughts out into our future storage. The grief we experience comes from those memories, those imaginings we had so easily pondered, our subconscious placed into the future for us and then, the physical manifestation of those "memories" does not occur. Sometimes the "future memories" have been so important to us that we immediately and in an on-going fashion, experience the loss of them. Other memories are more subtle, somewhat forgotten until the moment they were intended arrives and we experience the loss: anxiety, depression or anger and often blame those feelings on events of the moment. This technique will assist you in being able to experience your present and future in a more self empowering manner regarding your losses.
Paradigm House of Senses- As human beings, much of the information we receive to process, to perceive, to evaluate, judge and decide comes through our human senses. We call this Sensory Information. When this information is uplifting and good, we perceive, evaluate, judge and decide based on uplifting, good input. When it is negative or downgrading, the judgment and decision is based on the negative with negative being the filter for our automatic perception. Sensory information is stored in the subconscious and referred to repeatedly. Because many of us tend to focus on the negatives of life, negative often becomes the primary filter through which we experience life leading us to experience repetitive negative whether by our own choosing or the input of others. Though most of us would choose to maintain the positive input, all information can be changed with this guided imagery. As with any technique, the guided imagery, followed as directed on this CD is to be listened to repeatedly in order to utilize the law of repetition. There is no way to always avoid the negative sensory input. In order to ameliorate the negative effect on our lives, please use this and the other guided imageries often.
Paradigm Life Check and Shift- Research has indicated that repeat criminal offenders subconsciously access their Past Paradigm Life Line in front of them, including body movement and gestures (can't seem to put it behind them) and therefore often access their Future Paradigm Life Line behind them. The process of memory storage and therefore, past and future, is a subconscious process. The choice of where to and how to store our memories is developed throughout our life, based on our life experiences. This guided imagery assists you in identifying where you access your past and your future. It then walks you through a process of being able to change the placement of access, if you choose. Access placement of past or future memories has a tremendous effect on our life experience. i.e. Past memories that we just can't seem to "put behind us", memories that seem to haunt us, memories that were so painful that we chose to keep them in front of us in order to watch and be aware and thereby avoid getting hurt again, leading to them seeming ever present to us. Obeying our command to protect us, our subconscious placed them in an accessing position for our easy reference which has also meant we cannot seem to "put them behind us." Accessing past memories in front of us means they cannot go behind us. Our original intent of protection has led to our own self harassment from these painful memories. Additionally, if our future is accessed behind us, we may keep "slipping back" as we continually "run into" our past, wondering why we cannot seem to attain our future goals.
Paradigm Lost Memories - This Guided Imagery was created to assist in being able to stop our memories of regrets and guilt, memories and the accompanying guilt that are often quite old and do not seem to change. To better deal with memories that continue to surface in our conscious mind, serving to make us feel bad, not good enough and undeserving. If you have been experiencing the re-surfacing of unpleasant memories, if you have had experiences you have made amends for, corrected wrongs you have done yet can't seem to calm the memories, if you have memories of regret for things you did not do, this technique may be of help to you. This guided imagery walks you through the steps to assist your subconscious mind to re-file memories in a more desirable way, to create the processes necessary and similar to the same processes in which the subconscious already works in order that these memories can be processed and filed in a more expeditious way.

Paradigm Past Life
– This technique is a guided imagery to assist us in dealing with our past memories. Along with the Paradigm Future Life technique the Paradigm Past Life technique also assists us in creating our own future. There is an old Native American saying: "We create our future in our present with the fabric of the past." Often times, even though our present may be going well from time to time, it is natural (so to speak) for our lives to start going down hill again. Often it is our past, our thoughts, feelings and perceptions of our past, the memories we haven't yet recovered from or resolved that are blocking us from attaining our future as we would have it. This guided imagery assists us in dealing with our past memories. Janey will walk you through the steps in this self help guided imagery to assist you to deal with the issues you choose to work on.
Paradigm Pathways - This guided imagery will guide you through a process to assist you in adding and/or removing experiences on your life's pathway. There are many obstacles along our path of life that may sometimes be obvious to us while at other times they seem to elude our conscious awareness. We may have become so comfortable in our patterns that we fail to notice obstacles which may be so obvious to others. This self help technique allows you to consciously choose your own Life's Pathway. Even though the subconscious processes all of the sensory and other information coming into it prior to conscious receiving access to it, conscious can change not only the information in the subconscious but also the programs previously created by the subconscious that are determining our Life's Path. As with other self help techniques, use this technique repeatedly on the same situation. Oftentimes our attitudes, beliefs, emotions and perceptions are actually just automatic responses to life's experiences and input. Repetition is a programming law in the subconscious for change. By repeating the techniques, we are applying this law for change - Repetition.
Paradigm Problem Cord- This self help technique deals with one of the aspects of life we experience whenever we have arguments, confrontation and disagreements with others, especially when this in an ongoing occurrence. When these occur, there is, on either a conscious or subconscious level, some type of value we receive from the interaction. Perhaps we feel empowered, less vulnerable or justified. This guided imagery assists you in learning from yourself, rather than someone or something else, the things you were attaining from the argument or problem.
Paradigm Programmed Response – We are born with a small number of automatic responses such as the rooting reflex a newborn uses or the startle reflex. Most of our other responses are what we call "Programmed Responses". These responses are automatic reactions experienced with minimal conscious thought. We may like our automatic responses while there may be some we are not comfortable with. These responses originated at some past event and then repeated as like events occurred over time. Repetition is one law for programming the subconscious. Before we even realized it, we had created an automatic response (Programmed Response) for certain events. This technique walks you through the process of creating your own automatic (Programmed) response. Though you have done this many times in the past mostly without conscious awareness, you will now be shown how to create your own desired programmed responses on a conscious level of awareness. This is a self help technique. As with the other techniques, it is advisable to do this repeatedly on various issues you have.
Paradigm Release – This guided imagery takes 10-15 minutes to complete. It was created to assist in releasing some of the things about ourselves that actually block us from attaining our desires. The dictionary defines the word NEED as: lack, necessity, poverty, or mis-fortune. The word WANT is referenced to: lack, desire, wanting or desire. As human beings we sometimes experience greed and often lack a lot. Words are stored in the subconscious as we learned to associate and reference them throughout our lives. Though, on a conscious level, words have a particular meaning, on a subconscious level words may have a different and even contradictory meaning. i.e. the words "TRY". We may think we are being positive in stating we will TRY to accomplish something, in the subconscious the word TRY means to FAIL. Thus, when we are using the word try when we are seeking to accomplish something, the subconscious takes our words as absolute and works to accomplish for us what we told it to do. In this case, to fail. The conscious mind can always override the subconscious. Therefore, when we originally spoke the word TRY, we may be so intent on accomplishing the action that our conscious will follow through and actually accomplish the task. Still, if our conscious mind is focusing on other matters, it will be the subconscious that will accomplish what we have told it to do. Education, as well as experience plays a role in, not only the meanings but also the subconscious storage of reference of even our words. The study of linguistics goes into great detail of a great number of words with their subconscious use and meanings. Psychology as well as criminology use words and their subconscious meanings in advanced levels of education and trainings as a means of recognizing human behaviors and realities.
This self help technique begins by asking you to think of something you truly feel you NEED or WANT, something you also believe or know would be for your best interest and would not harm another person. In identifying this i.e. "I want my children to be happy", "I need to have a new job", "I've gotta" have more money", recognize that the technique is asking you to release the WANT, NEED or GOTTA' HAVE and is NOT asking you to release the desired outcome such as happy children, new job or more money. Once you have identified this DESIRED OUTCOME, the guided imagery will walk you through the process of getting your subconscious to process or focus more on your desired outcome and therefore assisting your conscious to have greater access to thoughts and opportunities for attaining your desire.
DVD:
This DVD has 3 separate techniques on it. These are what we call "Experiential Techniques". With these "Experiential Techniques" you can actually go beyond imagining and physically participate, messaging to your subconscious the reality of the steps you are taking by including physical movement. In this process you will actually stand up and move as the instructor asks you to do. Because the subconscious works with symbols and because all mortal interactions are experienced through our senses, you will be asked to identify at least 3 different Sensory Sub modalities, i.e. if this had a color, what would it be, if this had a smell, what would it be, if this had a texture...,if this had a sound..., temperature, energy....... Important: If you cannot identify at least 3 Sensory Sub modalities (descriptions), do NOT do the technique, yet. The inability to name a sub modality may indicate sensory blocks (negative sensory information stored in the senses) of which you may not, yet, be ready to deal with. If this happens, please pick another memory or situation to work on. You may, then, attempt to do this technique regarding the memory with sensory blocks at a later time.
Paradigm of Attraction
- From a Quantum Physics perspective, Attraction is based on the "IN-BETWEEN" of whatever two or more objects, persons or "matter" are interacting about. It is similar to the Law of Gravity. Attraction is the in-between, the interactions between you and whatever you are attempting to attract to yourself. As with our other techniques, everything being based on mutual respect, this technique uses the sensory symbols with a mutual respect. The symbols are placed between yourself and that which you are attracting to you. This technique allows for a mutual respect by having you imagine that what you are attracting to you also gets to decide regarding the symbols being chosen. The "Between", the interaction which is the true essence of The Law of Attraction as based on Quantum Physics upon the "Law of Gravity". As with all of our techniques, the Paradigm of Attraction is an excellent "Self Help" one. This technique assists your subconscious process the information from your perspective as well as from the objects perspective.
As you begin this technique on this DVD, Janey will walk you through the process. If you feel any awkwardness, do not be concerned. Repetition is a method of re-programming the subconscious, so, with repetition of this technique you will soon feel comfortable and at ease doing it.
Paradigm Shift - The Paradigm Shift is created to assist you in changing one situation you are experiencing to a situation you would prefer to experience. Also, to assist you in changing the way you are experiencing a certain situation to experiencing the situation personally in a manner you would prefer to experience it. Oftentimes, we cannot change a situation even though we don't like the situation and seek a change. In this case we are capable of changing our personal perception, thoughts and feelings about the situation, thereby helping us to better deal with the situation. i.e. Someone we love continues to make hurtful choices from which we get angry and/or hurt, leading us to feel that we cannot deal with our lives. We can "shift" our reactions regarding the situation to how we would prefer to respond so that we can deal with our life in a better , more positive and healthy way. One suggestion for the shift that has worked for the developers of this technique is to shift to "God's Will", believing that His will is in our best interest. As you choose the state of being to shift to, please consider the things that would truly help you and the situation the most. If the situation you are doing this Experiential Technique on is an issue you personally have a choice in, instead of solely changing your perception, you can actually shift to a situation you prefer.
Paradigm Walk
- An "Experiential Technique", one you experience in your mind and in a physical way. The name "WALK" indicates that you will physically walk to a desired outcome. This technique can assist you in having your Conscious mind convince your subconscious mind to place greater focus on the outcome you prefer rather than the outcome you have been experiencing. This technique can be used to help you attain a GOAL or to change the outcome of a situation (Desired Outcome). i.e. You have been focusing on being patient or compassionate about a certain situation but you keep getting upset instead. By using this technique, by "WALKING" to patience and compassion, you inform your subconscious not only that the behavior you have been accustomed to is no longer your preferred one, you now have a desired one for your subconscious to focus on. Several years ago, the developers of this technique had lost a bucket of bolts. The bolts were looked for to the point of frustration. Janey "WALKED" from "Not having the bucket of bolts" to "Knowing where the bucket of bolts was" As soon as the "WALK" was completed, an image of the yellow wheelbarrow came to her mind. She literally walked to the yellow wheelbarrow, immediately noticing the bucket of bolts held within it. The subconscious is aware of thousands of bits of information per each micro second whereas the conscious mind is aware of 3-5-7-or 9 bits of information within the same time frame. Though Janey had not consciously been aware of where the bucket of bolts had been placed, the placement of the bucket had been noticed by her subconscious
